Jay Sawyer has served as Church Business Administrator for FUMC-S since 1996. A lifetime member, Jay has enjoyed having a leadership role in helping the church develop and grow resources for its Christian mission. These areas of support include financial stewardship, building construction, renovation, and maintenance as well as personnel matters. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from LSU-Shreveport and a bachelor degree in business management from LSU-Baton Rouge. Also, Jay completed the requirements to become a Certified Church Business Administrator and published a book through the NACBA Press, entitled, “We’re in This Together, Reflections of a Church Business Administrator.” He and his wife, Laura, have two children.
