Men & Women’s Fall Banquet



Join us at 6PM on Tuesday, November 12 in Bain Hall for our annual Men and Women’s Fall Banquet. Our keynote speaker is Dr. Rodney Wood.  Dr. Wood has been a pastor for over 40 years.  His ministry has led him to serve churches in England and Ethiopia; and to teach in seminaries in the Ukraine, Uganda and Peru. In the words of John Wesley, the world is his parish. He also leads a weekly Bible study and prayer for the Louisiana legislature. Military Family Support Group


The First Shreveport Prayer Ministry, along with Samaritan Counseling Center, is sponsoring a support group for military families. This is a time for fellowship, at time to learn coping skills with deployment issues, metal health issues, transitional stressors, financial strains and other stressors that directly pertain to troops and their families. We hope to share experiences and build a community for living a healthy life.

Pray for the Cure for Cancer, November 1st & 2nd.


We believe in the power of prayer!  Join us in praying for the cure for cancer, November 1st and 2nd.  Friday evening we will gather in the sanctuary for music, prayer and Holy Communion with a focus on healing.  Saturday we invite you to bring your children and experience prayer through the work of your hands.  A FREE picnic lunch will provide an opportunity to give thanks to God for all of our blessings and to celebrate the survival of those who have and are winning the fight against cancer.
