A grant from the UN Foundation covers administrative costs, so all donations go directly to the lifesaving initiatives in Africa. First Shreveport is the host site for this year’s Shreveport race for the LA Conference. Imagine No Malaria, an initiative of the United Methodist Church, is dedicated to eradicating malaria worldwide. The Louisiana Skeeter Run is celebrating its third year of raising funds and awareness for Imagine No Malaria.
Last year’s event, enjoyed by nearly 2,500 participants statewide, raised nearly $78,000 for Imagine No Malaria.
