Do you know how to tap into the power of your imagination? Imagination is defined as, “to form a mental image of something not present.” It is the “creative ability, the thinking of an active mind.” It is what happens in your mind when you give it room to create. It is what your mind does when you let it come alive.

Dr. Norman Vincent Peale once said, “To achieve anything significant, everyone needs an imagination and a big dream!” I’ve often wondered how many millions of people go to their graves with their dreams still inside them instead of dying for their dreams; they die with their dreams locked inside them. I’ve dedicated my life and ministry to helping others unlock their untapped potential and dream big dreams.

The prophet Habakkuk said, “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who needs it.” (Habakkuk 2:2) I encourage you to take some time every day to write down your God-given dreams. Over time, if a dream isn’t real, it will diminish and die of natural causes. Dreams are a part of what God calls us to be, do and become. Dreams are the distinct God-given visions stirring our imagination and calling us forward to the future. It has been my experience that when big God-given dreams are followed through with commitment and faith, doors begin to open and amazing support flows to the dreamer, resulting in the dreams becoming a reality. Dreams are the parent of possibilities.

When God plants a positive thought or creative idea in our imagination, it is our responsibility to turn it in to reality. Whether it does or doesn’t depends on what we do with it. If we take the thought and act on it, we are on the way to discovering the way to discovering the fundamental dream beneath the thought. Capturing the dream is like digging for gold. Deep down the treasure waits to be discovered. We may have to dig very deep and work very hard before the dream pays off. Tapping into the power of imagination is crucial to bring to life the treasures of your dream.

God has given you the most powerful and wonderful gift on earth, the gift of imagination. Why not use it for his honor and glory? Why not begin to ask him to expand your imagination and fill you with his dreams and goals for your life? You will be amazed at the adventure that he will give you.

See you Sunday in church!
